Involving Children With Halloween Preparation

By admin | August 30, 2009

My twins are entering Kindergarten this year and they are already talking about Halloween. Between the parade, the parties and trick or treating I have plenty of planning and preparation ahead of me. I’ve been reading Halloween Forums for costume ideas, trick or treat safety and recipes for Halloween themed foods and snacks. One forum suggested I involve the children through the process so I am having them design and draw their own costumes. I will allow them to aid me in creating them. I will have them decorate their own cookies. I also am going to have them rake the leaves to make stuffed people for decoration. I am glad I am taking the initiative to do these activities with my children.
