I am Having a Hard Time Sleeping

My family just took in a foster child today. She has had a much harder life than any five-year-old deserves. Not only was her family poor, but both of her parents were on drugs and she got left alone most of the time. As I lay here thinking about how horrible it must have been for her, I am having a hard time sleeping. I will never forget the awe on her face when she walked into our house and saw the Modern Beds in our rooms. She couldn’t believe that she could actually touch them, let alone sleep in one. It’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.
