The Constituents of Pet Supplements
By admin | February 19, 2010
Most pet owners have no idea of the constituents of pet supplements on which they feed their animals. In fact they have just as little idea of that as they have of the very low nutritional content of most pet foods. Many cats and dogs do not reach their allotted life span because of being poorly fed by those that profess to love them most: their owners.
Why is this? It is because most pet foods are nutritionally deficient, and while their owners might feed themselves with the latest ‘multivitamins and minerals’ they don’t take the time to ensure that their pets are receiving sufficient nutrition for them to remain healthy. Most pets are not.
Good pet supplements will top up what the animals get in their normal diet – pitifully little, unless they catch their own, and birds, mice and rats, while very nutritious, can also pass on diseases. While pet supplements consisting of vitamins and minerals should be given to your pet daily, there are also other that might benefit them. Included among these are anti-allergy supplements, diarrhea treatments and treatments to maintain kidney and liver health.
Treat your pets as you would treat yourself, and give them pet supplements both to ward off a variety of conditions, and to prevent malnutrition and all the conditions that go with it. Look to your local or internet health food store for top name brand high quality pet supplements.
