Staying Away From Foods High In Cholesterol

By admin | February 1, 2010

Foods that are high in saturated oils are also foods high in cholesterol. These foods can be processed in such a way that they are high in cholesterol, or they can also be cooked at home to add to the cholesterol content. Many people are not sure which foods they should avoid when they are trying to watch their cholesterol count. They stay away from red meat and eggs because they know that they are high in cholesterol. However, eating some lean foods and cooking them with saturated oils can be more damaging to your cholesterol level than eating red meat. When you are looking for foods that are low in cholesterol, seek out those that are low in fat and also watch how you prepare the foods that you are consuming. Do not use oils or butter in food preparation so that you can cut down on the cholesterol levels.
