I felt like I was being held captive in a great Sherlock Holmes book, where the witness is found muttering some strange incantation that holds the key to the mystery. John, my best friend, had been out all day at the dentist, getting a filling done and his teeth cleaned. He wanted to look his best for our guy’s week away in Central America. I called him because he was running late, and our taxi to the airport was scheduled to leave in a few hours. He finally stumbled his way into the door mumbling through gauze and a glazed expression “Dental Clinic Costa Rica“. To be continued.
