She ultimately started in handicrafts, and was marketing them one day when she was discovered. Then she began to star in a series of promotional ads, and so ended her handicraft business. She had become a very good model and traveled a lot for her shows. In 1995, she debuted her acting career in the film Ram Shastra, playing the character Ritu. After that, she made several other films. In 2001, she decided to venture into TV show production, and developed the travelogue Yatra.
